We are Puentes de Luz, a non-profit organization, in San Martín de los Andes, which assists people with disabilities and their families. We would love to tell you what “Un volcán de Superación” -A Volcano for selfimprovement- is all about.

Between November 30th. and December 2nd., we will be starting our ascent to the top of the Lanín volcano with Miguel, who is a blind athlete , and a group of friends.

10 years after our 1st ascent, we return with the IV edition of "Un Volcán de Superación".

Why did we decide to climb up the Lanín Volcano?

We thought it would be a great way to reaffirm our values of effort and self improvement after 10 years. Miguel’s participation in this event sends a clear message that everything is possible and can be achieved.

Un Volcán de Superación is our annual fundraising event; with the contributions made by our partners and the community, we support and strengthen our assistance programs for people with disabilities in our farm in San Martín de los Andes.

About us

We are a non-profit organization, created in 2006 by a group of parents of people with disabilities from San Martín de los Andes, who decided to join forces to improve the quality of life of their children and others in a similar situation. Our mission is to provide care programs for people with disabilities as well as guidance and support for families.

In 2012 we accomplished our dream of creating our Day Center in order to provide care to people with severe and moderate disabilities .We now have Sabor Natural productive enterprise and we also intend to develop an Independent Life Project «CasaTuya», aimed at people with disabilities who want to become independent from their family once they feel they are ready to fend for themselves or also for when the family is no longer around to help in their daily life.

We also provide guidance and support for families, training for professionals and teachers throughout the region. In these 15 years we have been working in a space called Club de Amigos with a tireless group of volunteers who promote encounters with recreational activities and promote friendship, one of the greatest deficits of people with disabilities when they reach their adolescence and youth.
